Our History
Paul Houle started as a Furniture Maker Apprentice in 1979 and has worked in furniture restoration, refinishing, and reupholstery for 40 years, providing convenience for busy consumers. Paul employs a team of the best professionals available, upholsterers, sewers, and refinishers, all with several years experience in furniture restoration.
Our specialty
At Sofa Surgeon, our specialty and main focus is furniture reupholstery. Our clients bring us family heirloom and collection furniture items from the late 1800s to mid century 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. The showood frames are repaired and refinished, springs and foam replaced and new fabric installed.
We have restored several teak, rosewood and oak frame Danish Contempory sofas and chairs. The furniture belonged to the parents and grandparents of our clients.
